Women’s International Day is a worldwide event. Today we celebrate women’s progress and achievements in social, economic, cultural and political spheres. It is also a reminder of the many obstacles women faced in the past, and of those which we are still facing nowadays. Indeed, this day marks a call to keep fighting violence against women and to action gender parity.
